Boys
and Girls Biddy Division
The Biddy division is an instructional league for boys and girls 5-7
years old. The first half-hour of court
time is devoted to the development of fundamentals while the second half-hour
consists of a game. Certain rules are
instituted to improve the quality and the flow of the game. The skill level of the biddy division ranges
from no experience to limited experienced.
For many of the youngsters, this is their first experience playing any
type of organized sports. The games will
be played on shortened courts with 7-feet high rims using a junior sized
ball. The more talented and
experienced 7 year olds are welcome to play up a division if they wish.
· Each player will receive a numbered T-shirt and a basketball.
· Score is not kept during the games.
· Games are played 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 instead of the customary 5-on-5. The extra space improves the flow of the game.
· There is no pressing at any time during the game.

Most games will be played Tuesday and Thursday
evenings at
· Game times will be 6:00 or 7:00pm with each team playing twice a week.
· Substitution will be done on a rotational basis to insure equal playing time for all participants.
· Whenever possible, players will be matched against each other by age. The 5’s and smaller 6’s will play against each other while the taller 6’s and the 7’s will be matched against each other.
