Tyro Division
The Tyro division is an instructional league for boys 8-10 years
old. The first-half hour of court time
is devoted to the development of fundamentals while the second half-hour
consists of a game. Certain rules are
instituted to improve the quality and the flow of the game. The skill level of the tyro division ranges
from beginner to experienced. The more
talented and experienced 10 year olds are welcome to play up a division if they
wish.
· Each player will receive a numbered T-shirt and a basketball.
· Score is not kept during the games.
· There is no pressing at any time during the game.
·
Most games will be played on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings at
· Games times will be 6:00 or 7:00pm with each team playing twice a week.
· Substitution will be done on a rotational basis to insure equal playing time for all participants.
· Whenever possible, players with comparable skills will be matched against each other.
